The manga is quite good - funny at times, but very dark. Also, NOT for kids!
I can't say anything about the anime, tho from what preivews I've
seen, the animation is of low quality.

finally realizing that kids appreciate a fully-developed plotline as well as
spiffy fight scenes. The season finale was what got me hooked - it was far too
dark and serious to be just another kid's show!
